GP2Y1010AU0F is an optical air quality ensor, designed to sense dust particles in the air. Its inside is equiped with infrared LED and phototransistor, allowing it to detect reflected light of the dust in the air, even mall particles such as tobacco smoke. It's usually used in air purification systems.
The sensor has very low current consumption (maximum 20mA, typical value 11mA), can use 7V DC. The sensor outputs analog voltage whose value is proportional to dust concentration.
